Co-authored Content Policy

Introduction: Fantra is an AI-only content platform, and at launch all content is created by a single user interacting with our AI tools. Real human depictions or collaborations are not currently supported. However, we recognise that co-authored content may become relevant as our platform evolves (for example, future features might allow collaborative creation between users). This Co-Authored Content Policy outlines the requirements and responsibilities for any content that has more than one contributor or depicts more than one person, to ensure such content (if allowed in the future) is created and shared responsibly. This policy supplements our Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, and Creator Agreement. In the event of a conflict, this policy will govern issues related to co-authored content.

Definitions

For clarity, here are key definitions related to this document.

  • Co Authored Content means content created by more than one contributor or that depicts or identifies someone other than the uploader

  • Verified Adult Participant means every human involved is at least 18 and identity verified

  • Written Consent or Model Release means documented permission from each person who contributed or appears

  • Attribution means tagging or crediting co creators where the platform provides that feature

  • Revenue Sharing means any private agreement between creators to split earnings, which Fantra does not mediate

  • Documentation Request means Fantra may ask for proof of age and consent and may remove content or restrict accounts if it is not provided

What is Co-Authored Content? Content is considered “Co-Authored” if more than one individual has contributed to its creation and/or if any person other than the uploading user is depicted or identifiable in the content. This includes situations where:

  • Two or more people collaboratively generate or materially edit a piece of content together; and/or

  • The likeness, voice, or identifiable characteristics of someone other than the creator (uploader) are present in the content (whether visually, audibly, or via character persona).

This definition of co-authored content applies regardless of whether the other contributor(s) are Fantra users, and whether or not their real identity is known. Note: Under Fantra’s Acceptable Use Policy, using any real person’s image or identity in content is strictly prohibited at launch. Thus, currently, no content on Fantra may feature anyone other than the creator themselves or fictional AI-generated characters. In the future, if this restriction is modified to permit certain collaborations or real-person depictions, all the requirements below will apply.

Requirements for Co-Authored Content: You must not upload or share Co-Authored Content on Fantra unless all the following conditions are met:

  1. Verified Adult Participants: Every human being featured or involved in the creation of the content must be at least 18 years old and identity verified. This means each person either has an active Fantra creator account (with completed age verification) or has provided valid government-issued identification and proof of age and consent through our verification process. No minors (under 18) can ever be involved, in compliance with our zero-tolerance policy on underage content.

  2. Written Consent (Model Release): You must obtain explicit, written consent from each co-author or person depicted. This consent must be informed and voluntary, allowing the content to be created and published on Fantra. At minimum, you should have each person sign a model release or similar agreement stating they agree to be recorded or depicted and to have the content distributed. You are required to retain these consent forms and age records for all co-authors. Fantra may request copies of this documentation at any time to ensure compliance. (Fantra may in the future provide a template Model Release Form to assist creators, which includes confirmation of age, identity, and consent to publish.)

  3. Content Tagging and Attribution: If the co-author is also a Fantra creator/user, you must tag or credit their account in the content as appropriate (for example, using any “tag collaborator” feature provided) and must not misrepresent or hide the involvement of any co-author. Our platform features, if available, should be used to properly attribute all co-creators.

  4. Rights and Permissions: It is solely your responsibility as the uploading user to ensure that all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions have been obtained for any co-authored work. This includes resolving any joint authorship or copyright ownership issues between you and the other contributor(s) before uploading. You must also comply with any laws regarding personality rights, image rights, or rights of publicity for any person depicted. In practice, this means you cannot upload content featuring someone else (or content they helped create) unless you have their clear permission in a form that would hold up legally.

  5. Compliance with Other Policies: All co-authored content must still follow Fantra’s Acceptable Use Policy and content standards. Even if everyone involved consents, the content cannot include any prohibited themes (e.g. real minors, non-consensual scenarios, real person’s likeness without authorisation, or any illegal content). Co-authorship is not an exception to our content rules.

Earnings, Revenue Sharing & Liability: At present, Fantra’s systems attribute content and earnings to the single account that uploads the content. Only the uploading creator will receive any revenue or earnings from that content by our default payout system. If you co-create content with someone else and wish to share earnings, any arrangement for revenue-splitting is strictly between you and the other party – Fantra will not mediate, enforce, or be responsible for such private arrangements. In particular:

  • No Automatic Revenue Split: Fantra will credit earnings only to the account that uploaded the co-authored content. We do not currently offer automated revenue-sharing for multiple creators.

  • Private Agreements: If multiple creators agree to share revenue, that agreement is external to Fantra. Fantra is not party to those agreements and will not enforce them. You are not entitled to any payout from Fantra for content uploaded by someone else, even if you participated or are featured, beyond what you privately arrange with that uploader.

  • Tax Responsibility: Each creator is responsible for their own tax reporting on any earnings they receive (whether directly from Fantra or via a private split with another creator). Fantra issues earnings and any associated tax documents (if applicable) only to the uploader of record.

  • Liability Waiver: All co-authors agree to release and hold Fantra harmless from any disputes, claims, or liabilities arising between co-authors regarding co-created content. Fantra expressly disclaims liability for any unpaid shares or disagreements between collaborators. Any legal disputes between co-creators (for example, over revenue splits or rights in the content) must be resolved between those parties without involving Fantra.

Enforcement: Fantra may require you at any time to provide proof of age and consent for every individual involved in your content. This could be during account verification, content review, or an investigation. If you fail to promptly provide the requested documentation or if we find you violated this Co-Authored Content Policy, we may take one or more of the following actions:

  • Remove or disable the co-authored content in question.

  • Withhold any related earnings or, if already paid out, require reversal or repayment of those earnings (especially if a violation like failure to obtain consent is discovered).

  • Impose restrictions on your account’s ability to upload or publish new content.

  • Suspend or terminate your account for serious or repeat violations, in accordance with our Terms of Service.

These measures are in addition to any other remedies available under our Terms or at law. Important: Uploading content featuring any individual without following the above requirements (or, worse, against their will or knowledge) may not only result in account termination but could also be reported to law enforcement if the circumstances warrant (e.g. if it involves covert recordings or other illegal activity).

If you have questions about how to properly obtain consent or verify co-authors, or if you are unsure whether a piece of content would be considered “co-authored,” please contact our support team before uploading. We are here to help creators comply with these rules. By adhering to this policy, you help us maintain a safe, lawful platform for collaborative creativity.

(Note: Currently, Fantra does not permit user uploads of any real-person imagery or any direct collaboration features – all content is fictional and AI-generated. This policy is provided for transparency and future readiness. Until otherwise announced, users should assume that any content involving real individuals is disallowed. When co-authored or collaborative content features are introduced, Fantra will notify users and this policy will fully apply.)
